After printing, lay the image on a table and stand back so you are looking down at it at about a 45 degree angle. Cross your eyes to fuse the objects. Roy and his dog should appear as if they are standing on the table surface.

Now sway gently side to side and back and forth. Roy will move with you.

The realism is enhanced greatly if you place some real objects in the scene. Take a couple of coins and place them carefully on matching points, for instance, just below Roy's left foot. If the spacing is correct, they will appear as part of the scene when you cross your eyes.

This type of stereogram is a cross-eyed phantogram, or Stereoscopic Anamorphose, and was made with a new technique I developed utilizing Single Viewpoint Stereography.
